Application Process Update: Open Enrollment Now Available

We’re excited to announce a change to our application process that will make it easier for prospective clients to apply for a Diabetic Alert Service Dog. Starting immediately, Early Alert Canines will operate under an Open Enrollment model, accepting applications annually from January through April.

Why We’re Changing

Previously, our application windows were unlimited. This new Open Enrollment period creates a more predictable and accessible process for everyone involved. With a defined timeline, we can ensure timely review and response, while allowing applicants ample time to prepare their materials.

What This Means for You

  • Application Window: Applications will be accepted January 1 through April 30 each year.

  • Review Period: All applications received during this time will be reviewed in May and June.

  • Next Steps: Applicants will be contacted for follow up questions and further evaluations during the summer months.

  • Decisions: Applicants will be notified by email/snail mail about decisions by end of August.
