Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Early Alert Canines! We have a variety of ways that you can make a meaningful contribution to our organization. Most campus volunteer jobs take place Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 3 pm.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

EAC is actively looking for new Board Members.  If you are interested, please review the details below and submit an application.

 

EAC Board Responsibilities:

The Board of Directors of EAC is responsible for overseeing the mission and purpose of the organization.  Its duties include participation in strategic planning and making policy decisions, then securing the financing of them and monitoring their execution.

 

As a member of Board you would:

 

  • Serve a 2 year term of office

  • Be expected to strengthen EAC’s financial base

  • Attend quarterly meeting

  • Attend EAC fundraising events and represent EAC in the community

  • Assist EAC in gaining needed community support & financial resources

  • Uphold all fiduciary responsibilities and act in the best interest of EAC

 

In addition to a strong passion for our mission and programs, ideal board candidates will bring experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Fundraising/Fund Development

  • Strategic Planning

  • Strategic Organizational Development

  • Veterinarian

  • Marketing and Public Relations 

  • Medical Background (Endocrinology, RNs)  

 

The following characteristics are also highly desirable:

  • Prior non-profit board experience.

  • Desire and willingness to “roll up your sleeves” to lead and execute board related initiatives (i.e. fund development, board recruitment, strategic planning, etc.)

  • Ability and desire to move into board or committee leadership roles.
