Walk Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the walk?
The walk course is one mile long, and we suggest setting a goal of completing two laps!
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, there is a $40 Early Bird registration fee (kids: $20) that includes lunch and a walk t-shirt. Early Bird pricing ends Sept 5th. If you register after Sept 5th, the price goes up to $50 and you are not guaranteed a shirt. You can register here.
Do I have to fundraise?
While it's not required to start your own fundraiser, we strongly encourage it! This is a fundraising walk, and we greatly appreciate every dollar raised. We recommend each individual set a fundraising goal of $250. We also have prizes for the Top Individual Fundraiser and Top Team! Join the competition and be a winner!
I can't make it to Pleasanton on Sept. 28th. Can I still participate in the walk?
Absolutely! You can register as a Virtual Walker and still participate and create your own fundraising page to be part of the fun from afar!
Is there a fundraising minimum?
Though a registration fee is required to participate, it is not required for everyone to fundraise. We encourage all participants to fundraise! Upon registration, you will be given the option to join a fundraising team or fundraise as an individual.
Where can I mail cash/check donations?
You can mail any offline donation to our office at any time. Please include a note with the name of the walker who should be credited with the donation so we can process it correctly. Please note that donations received after the start of the walk will not count towards Top Individual Fundraiser or Top Fundraising Team.

Are dogs allowed at the walk?
Service dogs, dogs in training, and career changed dogs are encouraged to join us! The well-being and safety of our working dogs is our top priority.
Please follow these guidelines when determining if our event is right for your dog:
No female dogs in heat.
